Watch out, Harley – Zero Motorcycles has signed on with Hero Motocorp in the optimizing of bike markets… only these particular bikes are electric.
Hero has already been rolling out EVs to India’s roads via the “VIDA V1 scooter,” operating under a new brand name, VIDA; now, Hero’s approved an equity investment of up to US$60 million in Zero.
The results?
Zero’s bikes can now utilize Hero’s manufacturing, sourcing, and marketing in India; Zero’s sales will go up, and Hero will be able to lean on Zero’s excellent moto reputation while expanding the duo’s dynasty… and Zero might even share their electric powertrain tech with them.
Win, win, win.
