Amidst the offerings of the past few years have come more than a few stories of riders who have experienced the beauties of long-term travelling on a motorcycle.
It’s inspiring to see, and even more addicting to read about – so naturally, when photographer Rowland Kirishima and motorcycle journalist Keisuke Kawanishi got together with Yamaha and two other riders to create a multi-volume deal citing “the beauty of world-traveling motorcyclists…and the sceneries they experienced during their journeys,” we’d hop to cover the darned thing.
Christened simply as “The Roots.” and covering everything from Yamaha’s beginnings to the heritage of the men themselves, these documentary-style episodes promise a blast from start to finish. These two dudes gave us ten volumes last time they got together to do this for Web 55mph, so we’re expecting a similar number for this season.
Volume Four has just been debuted, so be sure to check it out. Yamaha’s website has all four volumes for you to peruse at your leisure.
