From 1983 to present-day shenanigans, our beloved Powersports industry has had a blast hooning about on addicting members of Yamaha’s Ténéré family – and with that family now four decades old, the Japanese bike marque is ready to celebrate its ruby anniversary in style (hint – new bike variant alert).
Coverage from Superbike News tells us that Yamaha will be traveling across Europe, showing off historic Ténéré models (1983-2010) in anticipation of dropping an all-new variant, the insane Ténéré 700 World Rally.
“Displayed in striking factory racing colors inspired by the YZE 850 that took Peterhansel to victory in 1993, the Ténéré 700 World Rally is a fusion of Yamaha’s desert racing heritage with modern, world-class performance,” states the release.
The Ténéré 40th Anniversary Tour has apparently already made a stop at Europe’s largest ADV riding festival – the Adventure Bike Rider Festival. There, attendees were able to have a blast on both off-road and on-road test rides, enjoy demo rides, and have a good gander at the newest movie from Yammie’s own ambassador, Nick Sanders – one of the world’s most experienced motorcycle adventurers (via NickSanders.com).
