Following the win of WorldSBK’s Race One (courtesy of six-time WorldSBK champion Jonathan Rea aboard his Ninja ZX-10RR beauty), comes an announcement from Insta360, a camera software company that has aligned themselves with the Kawasaki Race Team (KRT).
According to the tidbit of information, Kawasaki will benefit from Insta360’s new role as Title Race Partner, with both Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes filling the roles of brand ambassador.
“Throughout this season, Insta360 cameras will continue to capture thrilling footage of the road racing championship from a unique perspective,” enthuses the relevant press release from Insta360.
“Each of Insta360’s leading action cameras will be mounted on the riders’ bikes throughout the season, including the interchangeable lens action cam ONE RS, the pocket 360 action cam ONE X2 and the 27-gram tiny action cam GO 2.”
As for the brand’s excitement in working with top-notch Superbike racers, Insta360’s Max Richter, the Vice President of Marketin, is beyond jazzed.
“We’re thrilled to support the Kawasaki Racing Team in their journey to claim the World Championship title yet again this year,” he says.
“Their passion for excellence is a perfect match with the ‘Think bold’ attitude we champion at Insta360.”
With Rea already trying out the Insta360 ONE R for the coming season and Lowes submitting his own amazing footage, we will be excited to see what views Insta360 will give us in the coming season. A 360-degree camera means never-before-seen views, so there’s really no better way to be up this close and personal, short of swinging a leg over yourself.
