We have a bike here revving to be the world’s fastest-charging motorcycle.
How, you ask?
How about the fact that a mere 15 minutes of charging renders her capable of a 70-mile range?
An up-and-coming brand with products in the electric bicycle market, SUPER73 is hard at work punting out their first electric motorcycle. Christened the “C1X,” coverage from Teslarati states that the new bike’s design was built around fast charging as a priority, sucking in a stunning 10-80% in just 15 minutes.
SUPER73’s C1X. Media sourced from BikeEXIF.“10-80%” is certainly a weird way for SUPER73’s successes to be worded, but I guess the descriptive works if the bike charges fastest between those percentages… or maybe they’re working under the assumption that you’re the kind of sapien to never juice up from 0% and always rolling her out before she’s got a level tank. Who knows.
Bottom line, 70miles of range in 15 minutes is a brilliant equation, and a far cry from other, larger electric offerings (such as Energica’s Experia, 0-80% in 40 minutes on Level 3 chargers) – after all, Flies on the Visor worded the electric industry’s conundrum perfectly when they stated the following:
Electric motorcycles can go fast, accelerate like a demon and cover long distances. The problem is getting them to do all three.
Whichever way you figure the numerics, SUPER73’s C1X could very well land the title of “World’s Fastest-Charging Electric Motorcycle”… if someone else doesn’t snag the honors first.
“I’m incredibly proud of the dedication our team has shown in order to bring the C1X to life,” enthuses SUPER73’s CEO, LeGrand Crewse in the recent report.
“The secret behind our innovation is the belief that the user experience should always serve as the guiding principle behind everything we create, and our electric motorcycle is no exception.”
“This year, we’ve set out to prove that you don’t need to break the bank in order to take advantage of cutting-edge technology. Our riders can now enjoy the benefits of fast charging in a more accessible and approachable package with the C1X.”
Curious how much SUPER73 is asking to reserve their C1X?
$73 USD is what SUPER73 is asking to lock in, with Electrek having found out that the bike will likely be debuted in 2024 (previously everybody was saying spring of 2023, but that turned out to be a tad too optimistic).
Should the C1X hit the right price, we could be witnessing an industry-first: A budget-friendly, middleweight electric bike with stunning charging capacity and great range for the specs.
Fingers crossed, and stay tuned.
