Triumph has issued worldwide safety recalls for a majority of their motorcycles.
In Australia, Triumph has issued four separate recall notices covering issues from a fault in the neutral switch, faulty brake lines and faulty throttle cable.
The faults affect most of their bikes and the recall notices say the faults “could lead to a loss of control of the motorcycle”.
A limited number of Triumph Tiger Sport motorcycles (pictured) are affected by the brake problem.
Customers have been asked to have the front brake hard lines inspected and possibly replaced.
The throttle cable fault covers some models of Street Triple, Street Triple R. Street Triple ABS, Street Triple R ABS, Daytona 675, Daytona 675 ABS, Daytona 675 R, Daytona 675 R ABS.
They may require fitting a throttle cable guide and for the throttle cables to be inspected and replaced.
The neutral switch washer and detent arm spring recall involves some models of Speed Triple, Speed Triple ABS, Speed Triple R, Speed Triple R ABS, Sprint ST, Sprint GT, Tiger 1050 ABS & Tiger Sport.
It says the neutral light may remain illuminated when selecting various gears on these models.
The final notice affects some models of Speed Triple, Speed Triple ABS, Speed Triple R, Speed Triple R ABS, Sprint ST, Sprint GT, Tiger 1050 ABS and Tiger Sport where the neutral light may remain illuminated when selecting various gears. This is due to the incorrect engagement of the neutral switch and gear selector drum.
Faults will be fixed free of charge to the customer who should contact their dealer.
