Motorcycle touring company Maschine is taking their TransTerra adventure ride series to Victoria’s High Country with the TransTerra Alpine Explorer ride on April 2-7, 2017.
Maschine has been running the annual BMW GS Safaris for the past few years and this year also organised a three-day ADV Enduro ride for Triumph Australia.
Victoria’s High Country features a variety of terrain from challenging hills, to river crossings, with stunning mountain views and visits to isolated cattlemen huts.
The Alpine Explorer tour will explore the western flank of Victoria’s High Country, starting and ending in Bright.
Alpine Explorer costs
It costs $1695 with shared accommodation and $2195 with single accommodation. Click here to book.
The all-inclusive rider package includes six nights’ accommodation, breakfast and dinner, GPS routes, arrow route markers, printed route sheets, and support for luggage, technical, medical, tyre and sweep.
Riders on any brand of bike are welcome with a choice of hard and easy routes each day.
Maschine’s Trudi Selleck says the tour will be capped at a manageable 100 riders.
“Victoria’s High Country is a beautiful area for adventure riding,” she says.
“Last time we organised a ride in the High Country it was so popular it sold out in a few days and we had to run a second event the following week.”
Touratech Adventure Challenge
Coinciding with the ride is the Touratech Adventure Challenge on Saturday, April 1, at Bright.
It’s an opportunity for riders to challenge themselves and show others how accomplished they are with prizes awarded for class winners.
