It’s Not Far Off
The upcoming Triumph Street Triple RS has been speculated on and spotted several times in the last several months. We knew it was coming sometime in the near-ish future, but we weren’t sure when exactly that was. Now we know thanks to a teaser video that Triumph recently put out.
In the teaser, the bike tears around a racetrack. There’s little shown of the bike. The camera view is of the rider’s helmet from the tank of the bike. Then it’s looking out over the track as the bike speeds along. You do get a look at the twin headlights of the model and then you get a shadowy silhouette of the motorcycle, which shows the new bike will be as curvaceous as ever.
The rumor is, according to RideApart that the new bike will get the upgraded version of the 765 engine that’s used in Moto2 racing. The same engine that was used in the Daytona limited-run motorcycle the company put out not too long ago. Upgrades to that engine would also make this bike Euro5 compliant from an emissions standpoint.
The bike is set to debut, according to the video, on October 7th of this year. As RideApart notes, Germany’s annual Intermot show is on that date. This means the bike will likely make its debut at that show. Until then, you can check out the teaser below.
