The Best Bluetooth Smart Helmets

Motorcycling can be one of the best ways to unplug, but it’s not immune to advanced communication technology. There are plenty of Bluetooth comm systems out there that will let you stay connected while you’re riding. However, not everyone wants to add a comm system to the exterior of their helmet. That’s where helmets with Bluetooth integration come in.

Why a Bluetooth Helmet?

Why Bluetooth? Well, there are two main reasons for having Bluetooth in general. First, you might want to chat with other people you’re riding with. This makes riding in a group easier. Second, you might want to pair with your phone and have access to the wide variety of apps and capabilities that affords. Things like navigation, phone calls, music, and more can all be had by using a Bluetooth comm system.

Integration takes that idea a step further. It gives you a helmet equipped with a comm unit straight from the factory. This means you don’t have to worry about finding the right comm unit for your helmet or installing it. You buy the helmet and everything is good to go.

Why Trust My Picks?

At this point, you may be thinking, “Okay, Bluetooth helmets. Yep, sounds good but who the heck are you, and why should I believe you?” That’s fair. I’ve been riding motorcycles and reporting on bikes and gear for years now.

As a moto-journalist, I see a lot of gear and pay attention to what’s going on in the industry. I know what companies make good stuff. I know which of those companies’ products are top-notch, and if I don’t know much about something, I know the people to ask.

I also don’t make money from you buying one of the helmets below. I get paid to present you with the best options. What you choose has no impact on me. This keeps me honest. I don’t care what helmet you buy. I want it to be the most comfortable, safest, and best, but if you choose a different one or like a different one than I recommend that’s fine. That’s your choice as the consumer.

Just know that the following helmets, which I have divided up by price point, are helmets that I truly believe are the best Bluetooth helmets out there.

It’s important to note, that I have purposely left off some of the more advanced smart helmets out there, like the Skully Fenix AR and the products from Quinn Helmets. These companies make excellent products, but they’re more than a typical Bluetooth helmet. If you want to read more about them, check out my Smart Helmets article that was recently published.
