With Kawasaki refreshing their beloved KLR 650 and bringing it back for 2021/2022, we were curious to see how the Japanese manufacturer would tweak the thing for the new season.
Thankfully, we haven’t got that much of a difference when it comes to the juice. The KLR 650’s 652 cc liquid-cooled engine features the same broad power spread, while still punching out enough power to tackle a hill or three on the upswing…which is why the spiffiness of Brit-based R&G in releasing crash protection for the bike is all the more exciting.
The updates for R&G’s KLR 650 range (according to R&G’s press release) include the following basics:
- Adventure Bars
- Luggage Side Rails
- Adventure Rack
- Bash Plate
- Chain Guard
- Kickstand Shoe
- Headlight Shield
We’re also told that additional items include a tail tidy and a Second Skin Tank Protection, with the entire list available on R&G’s official webpage.
