With the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship having started May 25, KTM North America (KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas) has just entered into a partnership set to highlight the multiconglomerate marque’s efforts.
Three factory race teams currently ride for KTM AG in Pro Motocross 2023:
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
- 450 Class: Cooper Webb, Aaron Plessinger
- 250 Class: Tom Vialle, Max Vohland
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing
- 450 Class: Christian Craig, Malcolm Stewart
- 250 Class: RJ Hampshire, Jalek Swoll, and rookie talent Talon Hawkins
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing
- 450 Class: Justin Barcia
- 250 Class: Michael Mosiman, Caden Braswell (currently a fill-in for Pierce Brown)
For Red Bull Racing, the recovered Cooper Webb takes the spotlight, this being his first time riding competitively since an accident caused moderate concussive trauma and battering to his neck and back.
“I’m extremely excited to be lining up for the Pro Motocross series. I didn’t compete outdoors last year, so this will be my first time racing it since 2021,” imparts Webb in Motocross Action Magazine.
“I’m super grateful for the team and I to be able to do it together and get back behind the gate. After my crash in Nashville, I’ve been able to take some time off and get fully healthy, cleared, and ready to go.”
“Hopefully, I have some great results with the Red Bull KTM team this summer, we’ll see where it puts us and I can’t wait to see the fans again – I’m looking forward to getting back behind the gate!”
Stay tuned for “KTM Keys to the Moto,” coverage showcasing analysts James Stewart and Ricky Carmichael, who will be giving the ultimate commentary to the season’s shenanigans.
