Word is Bond
If you were one of the few customers that placed cash deposits for the upcoming Norton Commando under the previous administration; good news, the motorcycles are on the way. And for those of you that missed the opportunity to secure one of these bikes, there might even be a few leftovers for you to buy after the depositees receive their rides!
Customers might have felt a little bit uneasy after securing a Commando 962 shortly before the company imploded and made big changes. Many customers were asking, “Well, what about my deposit? Will I be getting a bike at any point?” John Russel, the new CEO of Norton, wants to assure those individuals that the brand takes their support very seriously and they will be going above and beyond to supply these day-one customers with the motorcycles they were promised.
In an official statement, Russel said the following: “When Norton was acquired by TVS Motor Company, there was a select number of Norton enthusiasts who had placed orders and paid deposits for 961-engined bikes. Norton is not obliged to fulfil these orders but is fully committed to its customers and values their trust more than anything,”
“Norton will be building a limited quantity of Commando Classic bikes and offering these bikes to those customers who had ordered and paid a deposit for a 961-engined bike. This very special edition of bikes will be built by Norton’s experts at its new facility and supplied to customers once any outstanding balance has been paid. The team at Norton are respectful custodians of the Norton brand and feel privileged to build such special bikes for such loyal and supportive customers,”
Along with the big announcement, the new administration has showcased their own photos of the upcoming motorcycle.
