On top of their stunning electric prototype, Triumph has also been working like beans to get ready for the 2024 SuperMotocross MXGP/MX2 Championship – and with a little video comes further rumors on who’s been chosen for the Hinckley-based brand’s inaugural off-roading teams.
“As preparations for Triumph’s debut in the 2024 SuperMotocross and MXGP/MX2 World Championships intensify, Triumph Racing confirms it has signed two top-class riders to lead its race development testing,” states coverage in the YouTube video description (via MXBarsChannel).
“Ivan Tedesco comes onboard as full-time test rider for the Triumph Racing US SuperMotocross World Championship Team, led by Bobby Hewitt, and Clément Desalle joins as test rider for the Triumph Racing MXGP/MX2 Team, run by Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni.”
To be clear, the above choice of gents isn’t yet confirmed by Triumph, with Miguel Fragoso over at Motorcycle Sports telling us that “several sources in the motocross world confirm that this is the new off-road model.”
Time will tell Triumph’s confirmation of the bike in the video footage – until then, one can only twiddle thumbs, practise on the nearest pile of rocks, and wait until the 2024 SuperMotocross MXGP/MX2 Championship bleachers fill up (tickets just went on sale four days ago at SuperMotoCross.com, so be sure to take a look at what’s left!).
