Detuned and Less Expensive
MV Agusta has been in the news quite a lot in the last several months, thanks to some special bikes, and now its new Rosso line of motorcycles. The Rosso line is a more affordable, detuned version of its standard lineup. There’s the Brutale 800 Rosso, Dragster 800 Rosso, and the Turismo Veloce 800 Rosso.
The 798cc engines in the motorcycles have been detuned to only 110 hp, down from 140 hp. The word Rosso translates to red, so of course, the motorcycles come in a red color scheme. The company also removed some of the more expensive components of the bike to keep the price of these machines down. This should help the MV Agusta attract more buyers.
The motorcycles use the same controls and technology offer on other 800 models. They will include a quick shifter and a Bosch ABS system, too. Pricing will vary from model to model, and U.S. availability has not yet been confirmed but the bikes do appear on the English version of the company’s website. The pricing goes as follows—2020 MV Agusta Brutale 800 Rosso: 12,990€ (about $14,500), 2020 MV Agusta Dragster 800 Rosso: 13,990€ (about $15,600), and 2020 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Rosso: 16,990€ (about $18,900).
