Two motorcycle events are getting together to kick start Spring with a weekend of motoring fun in the region south of Brisbane.
They are the Boonah Street Festival on September 26 and MotoFest at Queensland Moto Park on September 26-27.
The Boonah Street Festival is being held in the quiet country town which is a popular destination for weekend riders from the coast and capital city.
It will be held on the Saturday afternoon, featuring historic motorcycle displays, Jack Field’s ‘Flair Action Sports’ trials bike demos (see video below), come and try motorcycling activities, motorcycle stalls, tyre changing competitions, street performers, food and restaurants.
It will also be the venue for scrutineering and rider introductions for all competitors in the EnduroX event of MotoFest.
The inaugural MotoFest is a multi-disciplined motorcycle event being held at Queensland Moto Park, developed on 745 hectares of land in the Wyaralong area of the Scenic Rim Council, about 7km north of Boonah.
It will feature EnduroX (GNCC style) racing, Dash 4 Cash MX, Kick Start Arena Moto-Trials, and heaps of other activities and entertainment including: Flair Action Sports, industry expos and displays, a kids fun zone with rock climbing walls, jumping castles and slides.
There will also be a come-and-try motorcycling activity for kids, as well as helicopter joy rides.
Motorcycling Queensland is organising the MotoFest and is keen to attract sponsors and exhibitors.
