Legendary ride to top of the world

Legendary Moto Tours Himalayas Royal Enfield Classic 500

The most legendary motorcycle tour has to be riding a Royal Enfield to the top of the world in the Himalayas. So that’s exactly what we plan to do next year!

Tours with Indian-based Legendary Moto Rides run in 2019 from 1-12 June, 24 August to 4 September, and 5-16 September.

The tour costs from $US2500 for a rider and $US4200 for a rider and pillion. If you want to tag along in the support vehicle, it’s only $US1900. The supplement to score a bit of privacy in a single room is $US395.

Costs include just about everything except your flights to the starting point in Leh, India. It even includes a farewell dinner with “unlimited beer”. Now that’s value the way some of us Aussies drink!

It wouldn’t be a legendary ride in the Himalayas without riding an Indian-made Royal Enfield Classic 500.

These bikes are hardy and trustworthy machines that deliver a slow, thumping pulse that sings along in harmony with the spectacular mountain scenery.

Riders will take these bikes on the world’s highest motorable road, Khardungla Pass, which is at a height of 5602m (18380ft) above sea level.

Apart from breathtaking heights and scenery, riders will also see ancient monasteries, temples, deserts, snow, waterfalls and colourful local villages.Legendary Moto Tours Himalayas Royal Enfield Classic 500
