Australian motorcycle fans will see the new Indian Roadmaster for the first time at Motorclassica in Melbourne on October 24-26.
The automobile show will this year have its biggest two-wheeled entry with new, classic, collectable and historic motorcycles on show in Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building.
Indian this year joins returning brands such as Triumph, BMW, MV Augusta and Benelli.
Event director Paul Mathers says there is an increasing interest in rare and collectible motorcycles in recent years.
Iconic American motorcycling brand, Indian, will reveal its new Roadmaster tourer along weigh its 2015 model Chiefs in two-tone paint. Meanwhile, the new mid-weight Indian Scout is unlikely to be available for Motorclassica, but be on show at the Moto Expo in Melbourne in November.
Another exhibitor, Urban Moto Imports, will reveal the world’s most advanced Superbike, the Bimota B33 at Motorclassica. The bespoke Italian will be joined on the Urban Moto Imports stand by the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats speed demon Confederate X132 Hellcat, Buell Racing 1190RX and Benelli TNT 1130R, among others.
Motorclassica will also host at least 40 significant motorcycles, which will compete in the event’s Concours d’Elegance, while contemporary, classic collectible and customised bikes will all be available for purchase from a record attendance of retailers such as Classic Style, Boxer & Bevel and Parkline Motors.
More than 150 cars and motorcycles will be on show inside the world-heritage 19th century halls, plus another 200 cars and motorcycles over the weekend in the adjacent Lorbek ‘Club Sandwich’ food-themed club displays.
