The A.M.A. Grand National Championship has seen a lot of insane records, but none as crazy as that of Motorsports Hall of Fame revver Scott Parker, nine-time champ of the Grand National Twins and the category’s current record-holder.
With the 2023 season now fully upon us, Indian’s Jared “Jammer” Mees is gunning to be the best – and the only way to do that this year is by winning and locking in a tie for Parker’s record nine-time title.
“In a year with Indian Motorcycle holding three number one plates, 2023 marks a year in which Jared Mees could add to the 122-year history with a record-tying ninth American Flat Track championship,” says Zac Herndon in correspondence with the WBW team.
The best part of this coverage is Indian’s insane optimism; they’re manifesting the hell out of Mees’ potential podium victory by documenting the rider’s journey and his climb to the record, starting with Mees’ experience at the season opener in Daytona (and a few deeper looks into what makes Mees tick).
“Winning eight is an incredible achievement for a rider who, the film shows, is really leaning into his opinion-splitting reputation,” contributes coverage from Sideburn Magazine.
“[Mees] has many fans and supporters – crucially within the industry – who support his factory-backed privateer team, but there is also a large ‘Anyone But Mees’ contingent in the stands and online.”
While the laser-focused Jammer might not win MVP anytime soon, we anticipate an intense battle sizzling our screens for the Q2 trudge toward warmer weather.
All the best to Mees from the WBW team.
