Indian Motorcycle Red Wing boots coming

Indian Motorcycle has partnered with Red Wing Shoes to create a three-model line-up of stylish riding boots for men and women.

The good news is that they will be coming Down Under, says Indian Motorcycle Australia and New Zealand Country Manager Peter Harvey.

“The Indian Red Wing boots are very cool and we are looking forward to releasing them over here,” he says.

“Our latest information is they will not be available until July of this year and we do not yet have any pricing.”

The new limited-edition Red Wing Shoes Collection boots will cost US$319 (about A$450) in the US.

The Worthington boot is named after the street in Springfield, Massachusetts, where Indian Motorcycle began full-scale production in 1902, the Spirit Lake boot is named after the factory in Iowa where Indian is now made and the Connelly women’s boot is named after Catherine Connelly of Owatonna, Minnesota, one of Indian’s earliest female riders and loyalists.

Even during the Depression, Catherine and her husband made periodic trips to Springfield to buy new Indian Motorcycles and they would ride them back to Owatonna.

Connelly (women’s black pull-on boots)

IND-Redwing-Boots-0058This 11-inch boot is based on Red Wing Shoes’ Engineer with plain toe styling, heeled oil-resistant cushion crepe sole for grip and light weight, and an instep strap to adjust the fit. It features Black Harness leather, Indian Motorcycle buckles, embossed logo, white puritan chain stitching Goodyear welt construction.

Indian Motorcycle and Red Wing Shoes are American companies and boast a long heritage with the former established in 1901 and the latter founded in 1905.

  1. Why is it that there is only three basic styles of boot?
    You can have over the top boy racer, Jonny rebel or steel capped military/ work boot.
    There is the occasional breakout like the Rossi 814 Roadster which is comfortable dry and doesn’t screem I’m a racer,rebel,soldier,factory worker it’s the best boot I have ever owned but nobody wants to sell them. The only bad thing about them (but not exclusively a Rossi problem) is if you put them away for a month or two the sole cushioning material dies.
    I’m sure if you went through all the shoes you have put away few if any would still be ok.
    But that’s another rant for another day. My beef is that in hunting for months both on the net and in dedicated motorcycle warehouses to find a decent pair of boots that fit I could not find any except for an Aldi special buy but they are still too much of the boy racer style to wear at work in the office.

      1. Sorry but most of their boots seem to make my point and they don’t even have that boot on their web site which needs help from a better web designer. I found that boot at revzilla and near it was an add for a dianase boot that would do nicely.
