India’s Getting Bigger Bikes!
This mid-displacement motorcycle market is on the rise, there is no question about it. With Aprilia debuting the RS 660 and many OEM’s following suit with major updates to their mid-ranges (Yamaha, I’m looking at you). Kawasaki shows up to the 2021 mid-range battle with their own revised weapon. The newly updated Z650 just launched, and Indian riders can get one of their own ASAP.
The 2020 version of this bike already saw quite a few updates of its own with the inclusion of a TFT display and LED lighting all around the bike. This year, however, the 2021 model comes complete with some small styling changes hinting towards the Hypernaked big brother the Kawasaki Z H2.
The rest of the bike remains much the same as last year, as the 2020 model was the frontrunner to bring most of these recent updates to the table. The bike is motivated by the 649cc parallel-twin engine making 67 horsepower at 8k rpm; meaning a comfortable and predictable powerband for reliable commuting.
The Z650 is now available in India as an awesome option for riders seeking a little “more” than the typical 300cc bikes you find across India’s roadways. The 2021 Z650 will run you Rs 6.04 lakh, and should be arriving in local dealerships now.
