Suzuki Australia has recalled its popular GW250 Inazuma learner-approved motorcycle over a corrosion issue in the brake switch which could cause a short circuit.
The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission safety recall notice says the waterproof coupler between the brake switch harness and main harness isn’t sufficient.
It could allow water to leak into the main harness causing corrosion in the brake switch.
“This could potentially make the headlamp, brake lamp and tail lamp inoperative, which may pose as a hazard to other road users and possibly cause an accident,” the notice says.
Consumers are requested to contact their nearest Suzuki Dealership to have their vehicle inspected. If required, replacement parts and repairs will, be free.
For any concerns or queries please contact Suzuki Customer Care line on 1800 777 088.
