What Would You Love?
The scrawl graphic. You have two bald eagles with open talons on the sides, a skull with wings on the chin guard, and an excited looking tiger face at the back beneath the spoiler and exhaust. There’s also a dagger going through a rose at the top, surrounded by snakes. Black and white–very effective.
The design is a bit unconventional at the top because the roof scoops and the spoiler stick out like those of a Japanese tuner on American streets.
The overall vibe is a very nostalgic trip to the late 80s in this graphic and design which appear to scream ‘Murica!’ at the onlooker.

Shell
This is a helmet made with injection molded polycarbonate shell which is strong and stable; instead of tri-composite which keeps the price point down in the middle. At 3 lbs. 9 oz. with the face shield, you might feel some weight. But its construction suggests a chin on tank position so your neck might not feel that load.
This helmet is a race oriented and is designed to fit tight and snug. It is long oval in shape. People with wider heads might have trouble with fitting it in the form of wobbles and pressure points. The design conforms to ICON’s original vision of making this helmet primarily function as a racing helmet. So you will feel that narrow front and a wider back that you get to see in some tunnel tested things.
You’d normally use this helmet when you are in a chin on tank or ¾ riding position. If you are one of the easy riders you need to look at a different category.

Visors
Optically correct, Class 1 anti fog, UV resistant and anti scratch face shield. Wider face shield should ensure a larger field of view. Shields come in a lot of different colors and can be replaced very easily.
Both the PROLOCK shield locking mechanism and shield mounts are extremely user friendly, and operate without any levers or buttons to push. This is the rapid release face shield system that is the trend nowadays as more helmet manufacturers follow suit.

Ventilation
7 intakes at the front and 4 exhausts at the back show how refined this helmet is for ventilation purposes, considering its role on the track.
The toggle-able chin vent is supported by two auxiliary vents on either side, which can also be opened or closed with sliders on the inside of the helmet. So you have plenty of air flowing on the inner visor through the breath guard as well as decent cooling on your jaw line. Two brow vents placed near each other at the top of your brow line which can be toggled on or off. This ensures your forehead remains cool at lower speeds. The massive chimney vents are triangular in shape and can be opened or closed with a lever at the center simultaneously. The triangular vents have been angled in such a way that the system works in all three positions – straight up, ¾ or tucked in. Very cool.
The exhausts reside at the back; two beneath the monstrous spoiler and two of them behind the ears which are actual holes in the EPS to chuck that air out with minimal interruption.
Padding and Lining
The fabric for cheek pads and comfort liner has been provided by HYDRADRY. They have a very smooth texture, almost like micro fiber and are quite efficient in wicking up any moisture present on the skin. The cheek pads as well as the liner can be removed easily and washed under cold water to get rid of the unpleasant condition after a long ride.
The cheek pads have a nice thick foam feeling that help towards a snug fit and lower wind noise. The comfort liner has snap mounts at the extreme end of the occipital ridge and at the brow line of the EPS liner, effectively eliminating any chance of a pressure point.
