The official unveiling of a custom Hellboy Harley-Davidson called Big Red will be the highlight of a fundraising event for the Cooktown Crusaders tomorrow (November 4, 2017).
Big Red is a 2009 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic airbrushed with a cartoon Hellboy theme by Lucky Caleb Airbrush & Custom Paint.
The bike belongs to Peter ‘Mr Heckle’ Sheppard who is a member of the Cooktown Crusaders along with Les ‘Mr Leso’ Wildman and Mark ‘Mr Chilli’ Chillcott.

Since 2014, they have organised epic 4572km charity road trips from Brisbane to Cooktown.
So far they have raised more than $15,000 and hope to raise around $2000 this year with their final fundraising event tomorrow from 3pm at the “old school” Dag Pub on the D’Aguilar Highway, near Woodford.
Family friendly event
Hellboy Big RedThe AGM will be a family friendly event and fundraiser with cars and bikes, including the Hellboy Big Red, on show, live music, a mechanical bull and raffles.
Raffle prizes include a signed and framed 2017 Canberra Raiders NRL jersey and a 14-day family pass to Dreamworld, Sea World and Movie World.
“All who want to bring their cars and bikes to be a part of the display are welcome,” Peter says.
“A secure lock up will be provided for overnight security.”
Free camping is provided in the vacant block behind the pub. Meals are $10 meals and available until 8pm.

Mark with Cooktown Crusaders supportersAll proceeds from the event go to Autism Queensland, the state’s longest serving and most experienced provider of services to about 3000 people a year living with autism and their families.
Services include early childhood intervention, specialised therapy and education services, school advisory visits, group programs for adolescents, accommodation and respite services, as well as training for parents, professionals and organisations supporting people with ASD.
