Live now on Bring A Trailer is a 2008 Ducati Monster S4R S in a Tricolore livery. This bike, numbered #159 out of 400 ever produced, features the colors of Italy’s national flag – red, white, and green.
The bike also boasts a black Sargent seat with red piping and a painted tail cowl, and a two-into-two exhaust system, which includes carbon-fiber Termignoni mufflers. The tank and matching rear cowl are painted in the Tricolore scheme and mounted over a Fabio Taglioni-designed tubular steel trellis frame. Other features include rear-set foot controls, a carbon-fiber front fender and accents, and a side stand.
Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires are fitted on the Marchesini ten-spoke wheels, and Brembo calipers are mounted over twin 320mm discs at the front and a single inboard disc at the rear, providing excellent braking performance. The Öhlins suspension system comprises a 43mm inverted front fork with titanium nitride-plated legs, and a monoshock connected to the aluminum single-sided swingarm via a progressive linkage.
The instrument panel consists of a white-dial 160-mph speedometer, a matching tachometer, and a bank of indicator lights. The liquid-cooled 998cc L-twin engine features Marelli electronic fuel injection, dual overhead camshafts, and four desmodromic valves per cylinder, as well as an oil cooler, electric cooling fans, and a two-into-two exhaust system with slip-on Termignoni carbon fiber mufflers. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a multi-plate dry clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
This S4R S Tricolore is a limited edition model and is offered for sale via auction on Bring A Trailer. It will come with manufacturer’s literature, a service invoice, two keys, and a clean Texas title.
