Benelli BN600 LAMSWho says learner riding has to be on frumpy, sexless motorcycles! Benelli has joined fellow Italian manufacturer Ducati with offerings for Australia’s lucrative learner market.
While Ducati makes the Monster 659 ($12,990) specifically for the Australian market, the Benelli BN 600 LAMS model is now hitting the showrooms at just $9990 ride away with a two-year warranty, two-year premium roadside assist and 12-month rego. The sweet street bike is available in white and black in limited numbers.
Benelli-BN302It will now be joined by the sexy naked BN302 powered by a 300cc in-line two-cylinder engine with 27kW of power at 11500rpm and 27Nm at 9000rpm. Price will be revealed late this week.
The sporty machine has a slim design and is light at 185kg, giving it a a lively power-to-weight ratio. It has a steel trestle frame and is suspended on upside-down 41mm forks with hydraulic damping and a swingarm with shock absorber adjustable for spring preload. Stopping power is evident in the big 260mm twin discs up front and 240mm rear disc. It’s shod with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres on 17” aluminium alloy rims.
