When Ducati first dropped their ADV offering at 2019’s EICMA in the form of a concept, the machine caused a bit of buzz but nothing too crazy. After all, we have had other bike brands make concepts and whisper sweet, hot promises in our proverbial ear with nary a production unit to show for their efforts.
Since Episode 6 of Ducati’s 2022 World Premiere Series, however, those promises have become a reality, with more than one kickass rider on our team over here waiting to try out the DesertX to see if it really handles like everybody says.
Well, we now know we won’t have long to wait; judging by a press release from RideApart, the DesertX will be coming to US dealerships on a demo tour from April 7th to May 12th, with the machine slotted for fun with the fans from 6PM to 8PM.
With the DesertX using the latest evolution of the iconic 937cc Testastretta engine, (making it a sibling of their Multistrada V2), and capable of 110hp on fully-adjustable Kayaba suspension, Brembo brakes and the latest IMU technology, you’re guaranteed a quality ride fitted to take on the Dakar.
Be sure to register your right to a demo ride via Ducati’s website, drop a comment below letting us know what you think, and as always – stay safe on the twisties.
