Ducati is this week likely to add yet another model or models to the growing range of Scramblers after announcing more Scrambler joy is coming on September 10.
“Fun in the Land of Joy is evolving,” it simply says.
It’s pretty cryptic, but there are several theories going around about what it could mean.
We suspect it means a new model or maybe several new models. There are currently 11 models with two models already deleted.
When the Scrambler was unveiled in 2015 with four models, it quickly became the company’s top seller, usurping the Multistrada.
Top tip for joy
Our top tip is that a more off-road Desert Sled version of the Scrambler 1100 is going to be added.
It makes a lot of sense as Triumph is unveiling their 1200cc Scrambler on October 24 and there has been talk of BMW adding a desert racer version of its popular R nineT.
There could also be a Cafe Racer version of the 1100 coming.
Or how about 400cc versions of the Desert Sled or Cafe Racer?
Perhaps with the coming Euro5 emissions standards, it could just mean updated 803cc engines, although that would hardly prompt any joy from riders!
Whatever, we will be watching closely on Monday night for the details, so stay tuned.
