Ducati owners clubs around Australia have been celebrating 40 years of the owners clubs in Australia this year with a variety of events.
The latest is the Ducati Owners Club of Queensland (DOCQ) “Ducati-Only” Track Day on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the recently resurfaced Morgan Park Raceway near Warwick.
“This will be a relaxed track experience rather than a hard-core race day, so whether you’re a first-timer or an old hand on the track, if you own a Ducati then this is the event for you,” their release says.
Places are limited to 75 with riders split into three groups of 25 according to skill level.
“This means you can ride at your own pace with riders of similar level,” they say.
Track day details
Each group can expect at least 6 x 15 minute sessions over the day with a 30 minute lunch break and the sandwiches are provided free by the DOCQ.
Gates open at 7.30am and the first group is on the track by 9am and the day wraps around 4pm.
All track operations from sign-on, to scrutineering and marshalling will be professionally managed by the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland (Sporties).
“It’s not a coaching day, but a number of Sporties coaches are marshalling and will lend advice where possible,” they say.
