The Scrambler Flat Track Pro is a higher-powered racing version along the lines of the bike Troy rode in the US earlier this year. It features a special livery with a side number plate, “full throttle exhaust”, and new exhaust, but not technical specifications are not yet available.

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali says the introduction of the Scrambler made Ducati accessible to more riders and the new 399cc Sixty2 (in honour of the year of the first Ducati Scrambler) would make it even more accessible.

However, at $11,990 in Australia, it’s way overpriced and not very accessible. By comparison, the Yamaha SR400 is $8999, KTM 390 Duke is $7290 and the Harley-Davidson Street 500 is $9995.

It joins the 800cc Urban Enduro, Icon, Classic, Full Throttle and now Flat Track Pro in the Scrambler range.

Claudio says the Sixty2 features a narrower rear tyre (160mm instead of 180mm), lighter swingarm and smaller forks to match the smaller-capacity engine. It also has a “streamlined” fuel tank, so fuel capacity is probably reduced from 13.5 litres.

It also has a different paint scheme from the other models: atomic tangerine, chignon black and ocean grey.

He also announced there will be one more Scrambler version being developed jointly with Italian Independent to be presented at the end of the year.

Two new models which Claudio says represent “a major departure for our brand” are the Multistrada 1200 Enduro which is a more dirt-road oriented bike to take on the BMW R 1200 GS and the XDiavel which is their first real cruiser.3-DUCATI MULTISTRADA1200 ENDURO

The Multistrada Enduro (from$29,990 which is $200 above the current Multstrada S) has a 19-inch front wheel, 120/70 and 170/60 tyres, 19 and 17-inch tubeless spoked wheels, more rugged bodywork, bigger front fender, aluminium side covers, higher exhaust, off-road footpegs and a 30-litre tank with up to 450km range.

It will feature the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution system by Sachs, 200mm wheel travel and 205mm round clearance (30mm higher).

The Enduro will come standard with Cornering ABS, Cornering Lights, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control and Vehicle Hold Control for hill starts.

The final bike released is the XDiavel (from $27,490 which is $2500 above the current Diavel Red) with forward mount controls, lower seat, longer wheelbase and belt drive; a first for Ducati.

It is powered by the 116kW Testastretta DVT 1262cc engine with 128Nm of torque from 5000 to 8000rpm and a raft of hi-tech electronics: Ducati Power Launch control, Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, Ducati Traction Control, Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS and Cruise Control.

XDiavel can lean to 40 degrees, has a 240mm rear tyre, adjustable suspension and Brembo monobloc brakes.

Claudio says it represents “low-speed excitement”. It will come in standard and S version with different wheels, LED daytime running light, machined parts and gloss black.

The Ducati 959 Panigale is an update of the 899 with a stroked engine for more capacity, 117kW, 10% more torque, new tail section, higher screen, new fairings, Euro4 compliant exhaust, wider front and bigger front air intakes.

The Hypermotard 939, Hypermotard 939 SP and Hyperstrada 939 are powered by a new 937cc twin-cylinder engine with 84kW of power and 10% additional torque over the previous 821cc engine.

They come with three-stage ABS, eight level traction control and three riding modes.
