So.
You’ve just created a rolling work of art from scratch.
Not only that, but you’ve been wildly successful in the passing of said art to the drooling populace for the sum of five digits or so.
What’s your next step? (Hint – NOT an adventure bike…)
For the luxury bike builders at Curtiss Motors, the next tick in the docket is a documentary on the creation of an electric bike called the 1 – a stunning machine that features (among the top-notch, timeless parts and the hard-steel axle reminiscent of airplane ergonomics) an aesthetic designed to keep its rider in the seat for life.
(Don’t let the moodily-themed images fool you; if Batman had any say on his choice of cinematic scoot – or the slightest inclination toward zero-emission – he would have chosen this piece of sexy as his go-to aesthetic.)
The 1 is currently available from $83,333 USD; not a bargain price, but art – whether functional or otherwise – has never really been about price, has it?
As for the documentary, it’s not a bad idea, considering the legacy of Curtiss – previously Confederate Motors – as a brand stretches back a bit; and with the film itself being premiered tomorrow, you’ve not got long to wait for the real deal (head over to TheVintagent.com for an exclusive premiere if you’re impatient like me).
