The cheapest Italian motorcycle available in Australia has just hit the showroom floors.

There will also be a Learner Approved Motorcycle (LAMS) version which uses a restricted 44kW power output engine, with Benelli suspension and brakes at $8990.
Joseph Alasmar, CEO of importer Urban Moto Imports says they have worked closely with the boutique motorcycle maker to set up the bike’s specification and pricing for our market.
“Benelli is here to be a serious player and its sales are growing rapidly thanks to the work and focus that UMI has put into infrastructure, including parts, service and sales support for Australian buyers,” he said.
“This is the beginning of a significantly expanded Benelli range in Australia, with a full pipeline of new models due over the next few years,” he said.
“The Benelli BN600R is an incredibly well specified and engineered Italian built motorcycle that will change the way buyers view Italian machines.
“The first two shipments are almost sold out and we anticipate it to be in excess off 250 units (for the full year).”
The BN600R is powered by a high-revving 600cc inline DOHC four-cylinder engine with 60kW of power at 11,500rpm and 52Nm of torque at 10,500rpm, through a six-speed gearbox which is mounted in a light-weight trellis frame.
It sits on 17” alloy wheels shod with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Metzeler Sportec M5 tyres.
The BN600R also features alloy tapered handlebars and twin under-seat exhaust pipes.
All Benellis come with a two-year unlimited kilometre warranty and two years premium roadside assistance as standard.
