The learner market continues to be flooded with models and now CFMoto Australia has filled the gap between the 150NK ($3090) and 400NK ABS ($5990) with the new 250NK at $3990 ride away.
That compares with the Honda CB300F at $5699, Kawasaki Ninja 4090 at $6499, Suzuki GSX-R250 at $5790 and Yamaha YZF-R3 at $6299 (all are recommended rices and do not inlaced on-road costs).
To further sweeten the deal, CFMoto is throwing in a free CFMoto rider jacket and helmet worth $350 when a customer buys a 250NK up until July 31.
“The 250NK is a model we have been waiting for to fill the gap between our 150NK and 400NK, says CFMoto Australia boss Michael Poynton.
“The model offers a great mix between the two by being lighter than the 400NK for easier handling and more horsepower from the 150NK, giving the rider a lively and fun riding experience.”
The new four-valve, DOHC, 250cc single-cylinder engine with balance shaft produces 19.5kW and 22Nm of torque in a bike weighing just 151kg.
It has Bosch fuel injection and two power modes for sport and a detuned rain mode.
The 250NK shares a similar platform as the 150NK, with a steel tubular chassis, upside-down forks and a single mono-shock.
Like most of the new crop of the Chinese motorcycles, it is designed by KTM’s Austrian design house, Kiska Design.
Features include a new low-slung headlight, new fuel tank design and a new tailpiece with integrated intakes.
Like the big-brother 650NK, it has Spanish J.Juan brakes, but not SBS like the 400NK.
The 250NK is available in midnight black only and comes with a two-year unlimited kilometre factory warranty.
The CFMoto dealer network has more than 80 outlets around Australia.
