Touring In The Wet
Bridgestone has added two new tires to their Battlax lineup intended for sport-touring with the addition of the T32 and T32GT tires.
These tires have been designed from the ground up to maximise performance in wet weather riding conditions. The T32 takes the successful T31 and bumps up the rears total contact patch by thirteen percent. Bridgestone claims that these tires will stop you 7% faster than the T31 as a result of the wider contact patch on the rear in addition to the increased grooving and updated rubber compound.
The standard T32 will be a universal tire, although the GT version will be your best bet if your 470+ lb touring motorcycle needs a new set of wheels.
Bridgestone’s very own GM, Jared Williams, weighed in on the new rubber donuts: “By significantly enhancing the tire’s connection with the road, the T32 tire delivers incredible performance, even in poor weather conditions, giving riders more control and confidence in the wet,
“These benefits are also found in the GT tire line, allowing this technology to reach more motorcyclists.”
Information regarding sizing and pricing is not yet available, but we do know the tires will come to market before Q2 2021 ends.
