Sometimes, it’s worth it to harken back to an era where the only measure of time was the local opinion and whatever chronometer was in the general vicinity; in keeping with the verve of the 1960s, in particular, Breitling’s bevy of horologists have released a new watch to the moto masses.
Meet the “Top Time B01 Triumph” – a new timepiece in Breitling’s B01 range and a unit that carries the exceptional Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 (complete with a COSC chronometer certificate).
According to Breitling’s website, this $8,000 USD watch shows off an ice blue dial straight from the color scheme of the fun-loving 1951 Triumph Thunderbird 6T. The Triumph Motorcycle logo is shown at 6 o’clock, while a retro logo, mushroom pushers, a speed-measuring tachymeter scale (complete with squircle subdials), and a “Zorro” dial design keep the timepiece firmly in the “Baby Boom’ generation station.
An additional perk: Owners can rest easy knowing that a five-year warranty protects their timekeeper; if you happen to get your hands on one before August is out, you’ll have an extension of that warranty!
