For the first time, the annual Bombala Bike Show in southern coastal NSW is adding a motorcycle-only swap meet.
Bookings are open now and cost $10 per 3mx3m site for any motorbike parts and related accessories sellers. You can book via email or online.
The 235th annual Bombala Bike Show will be held on November 19 2016 at the showgrounds in Forbes St from 10am to midnight.
The show has been running for 25 years now with donations going to Bombala Hospital and other local charities.
This year the nominated charity is the Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter service used for medical emergencies such as motorcycle crashes.
Apart from the new swap Meet, the show will also feature trade stalls, a burnout comp, bike gymkhana, tattoo comp, show’n’Shine, ASRA static display/movies, stunt show, food stalls, live music and a raffle for an Indian Scout Sixty with only 500 tickets being sold.
There is free on-site camping and it is BYO but no glass is permitted.
Virginia of the Imperial Hotel Bombala, which features live bands on the Friday night, says Bombala is a regular stopover for riders.
“We have people stay at my pub from as far away as Bundaberg just to ride our roads,” she says.
The show was organised by a local rider until he retired eight years ago. Then it was taken over by a committee of locals who made sure the event wasn’t lost.
Admission costs $15 for adults, $10 for children 3-13 years, $25 for a family pass (2 adults 3 children) and earlybird online tickets are $10 for adults.
