Welcome to a new section of Motorbike Writer where you get to plug your motorcycle event. It doesn’t matter if it’s for profit, charity or just a laugh. Send the details to hinchm@hotmail.com.
The first is one of those charity “ride through a bar” events that everyone seems to do but always turns into a fun day.
Anything to do with pubs and riding has to be fun, right?
This ride, organised by the Ulysses Warwick Branch, is on October 11-13 at Bony Mountain Recreation Reserve just west of Warwick.
It will raise funds for the Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund, Leukaemia Foundation and RACQ Careflight Rescue.
The club says there will be plenty of space for camping, “seriously good coffee”, a bar with “super low prices” and bike gear stalls and a display by the Warwick Branch of the Historic Motorcycle Club of Queensland.
The ride through the Neville Wenham Bar is at the clubhouse on Saturday and it must be a big bar because trikes are also welcome.
Other highlights will be a treasure hunt, karaoke on Friday night, show and shine, bands and even pig races.
Ride entry is $14, pillions $10 which will also get you patch to commemorate.
Camping is $10 a person and powered sites $20.
Day entry is $5 with children under 12 free.
