Aprilia’s just chucked their most revolutionary and powerful engine *ever* into a Limited Edition RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory for 2023’s rev-happy populace.
Let’s talk about it.
The two machines were released as of this past Friday, with both beasties showing off a sweet color scheme to match the “elevated aerodynamics, ergonomics and aesthetics” – all complementing that pretty V4 heart.
The recent press release tells us that the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory have spent a boatload of time in the wind tunnel, optimizing aerodynamics for “increases in airbox pressure and downforce.”
Naturally, the streamlining comes with a new ergonomic package in the form of a tweaked seat and fuel tank combo, allowing a more organic fit for the ultimate scoot.
For componentry perks, expect the following to garb Aprilia’s new dynamic duo:
- Novel six-axis Marelli 11MP ECU
- Complete ride-by-wire throttle system
- Better APRC operating system
- New multi-level engine braking control
- six ride modes (three for the track and three for the road) with the option for three customizable modes
- Button-accessible traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, ABS
- forged aluminum wheel rims
- semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension system
- Brembo Stylema brakes
- triple LED front headlight unit with perimeter DRL lights and cornering lights
If you’re wondering what the output looks like, Aprilia’s RSV4 Factory will be blasting a stunning 1,099cc / 217hp, with the Tuono V4 Factory coming in hot at 1,077cc / 175hp – and both featuring a Special Edition premium ($500 USD/$750 CAD)
Here’s the price of both bikes, according to the press release:
RSV4 Factory Special Edition
Price: U.S. $26,499 / Canada $28,245
Tuono V4 Factory Special Edition
Price: U.S. $20,099/ Canada $22,845
With the RSV4 Factory becoming available in America for May of this year (June in Canada) and the Tuono breaking cover around the same time, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
