We’ve just been given notice that the stars and stripes-bespangled RS660 Limited Edition & Tuono 660 Factory are now up on Aprilia’s website available for pre-order!
Celebrating the brand’s success in the 2021 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championship, the RS660 Limited Stars & Stripes Edition (apart from the neat scheme) boasts a neat 403lb dry weight rendering the machine capable of 100 pretty ponies and 49.4 ft-lb (67.0 Nm) of torquedos, with an additional perk of 48 miles to the gallon, thanks to the 3.96-gallon fuel tank capacity.
“Five of the 10 total wins were achieved by Kaleb De Keyrel, crowned Twins Cup 2021 champion astride his Aprilia RS 660 prepared by the Robem Engineering team,” states a report from RRW.
“The other victories were credited to Jody Barry, Cory Ventura, Anthony Mazziotto (two wins) and Tommaso Marcon. The Aprilia RS 660 therefore confirmed its status as a versatile bike, able to win on extremely different circuits and with riders who have different riding styles.”
A reminder that standard equipment for this edition includes a single-seated fairing cover, as well as an oversized top fairing and quick-shifter with upside-down gearbox.
The Tuono 660, a newer addition to Aprilia’s fleet, brags a lighter 399lb dry weight rendering the machine capable of a similar 100 pretty ponies and 49.4 ft-lb (67.0 Nm) of torquedos, with an additional perk of 48 miles to the gallon, thanks to the 3.96-gallon fuel tank capacity.
