The organiser of an anti-VLAD concert to raise money for the High Court fight against discriminatory VLAD Laws in Queensland has bravely decided to go ahead.Anti-vlad vest vlad laws

An internet effort to raise money to guarantee the Freedom Family Fun Day and Concert failed to rewash its target, but organiser Grant Newson says the concert on November 1 is “definitely not cancelled”.

“The band lineup has altered slightly since your article, but has only grown,” he says.

“Everything is on schedule and verified to date. Site, bands, stage, sound, lighting, stalls,  food and drinks stalls, a great lineup of prizes and raffles,” he says. There will also be a unique event cloth patch only available onsite.

Grant says the United Motorcycle Council of Queensland has also decided to jump on board and asked to have a stall site. They have a separate raffle happening drawn on the day.

All proceeds of the event are going directly to Irish Bentley who is the legal firm representing riders in the High Court Challenge against the Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Act introduced by Queensland last year.

All current information is available on their Facebook page.

Current bookings online are through Eventbrite.
