2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 R Features
ENGINE
These improvements have been made without compromising the Street Triple’s renowned reputation for reliability, one of the many reasons why Moto2™ organisers recently extended the contract to run the 765cc three-cylinder engine until the end of 2024.
A higher compression ratio, new pistons, conrods and gudgeon pins, matched to new optimised combustion chambers deliver an increased cylinder pressure limit and ultimately more power. New valves and camshafts give increased valve lift for improved intake, combustion and exhaust efficiency, while new gearbox ratios bring improved performance and responsiveness, ultimately delivering faster acceleration, which all adds up to this new generation being the sharpest and liveliest yet.
Significantly revised and updated to produce more power than ever, the Moto2™-derived 765cc engine delivers all of the trademark Street Triple soundtrack. Making winding the throttle on hard all the more addictive, the revised air intake gives a hair-raising induction roar. And, with an increase in compression and more efficient combustion, the resultant sound emanating from the new, freer-flowing exhaust system and silencer is pure Moto2™ magic.
CHASSIS
High-quality Brembo brakes together with top-notch Showa and Öhlins suspension and Pirelli’s incredible Supercorsa SP V3* tyres deliver the capability needed to ride close to the limit with confidence.
Triumph’s Shift Assist up and down quickshifter is standard on all Street Triple models, as is Cornering Optimised ABS and Traction Control. According to the riding mode selected, these technologically advanced systems offer superb levels of rider assistance for safer road riding with less intrusive settings available for added track-focused capability.
* RS and Moto2™ Edition only, the R has more road-biased Continental ContiRoad Tyres.
The bodywork, 15 litre fuel tank, radiator cowls and headlight finisher have all been redesigned for a sharper, more aggressive look while clearly retaining the Street Triple’s iconic design DNA.
This new, nose-down poise with cleaner, sharper lines and those distinctive twin headlights comes hand-in-hand with all of the Street Triple’s famously neutral and incredibly agile handling.
Fitted with the latest Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronically adjustable, semi-active forks and rear monoshock, the Speed Triple 1200 RR boasts the most advanced production Öhlins suspension available. Race-developed Brembo brakes include a span and ratio adjustable lever, radially-mounted Stylema® monobloc calipers and lightweight 320mm discs. Plus new high-performance Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires, a lightweight cast aluminum chassis and an optimized center of gravity deliver the new benchmark in Speed Triple precision handling and agility.
TECHNOLOGY
New Optimised Cornering ABS and switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control ensure the optimum braking and traction performance at any lean angle, on both road and track, in all riding conditions.
The riding modes have also been upgraded with new throttle maps. Easily selectable via the 5” TFT displays intuitive menu and the ergonomically-optimised switch cubes, the perfect setting is always within easy reach.
Accessory-fit Bluetooth functionality, all-LED lighting on the RS and Moto2TM Edition… there’s even a handy under-seat USB socket for charging phones and peripherals.
