The 2022 Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. Is Suzuki’s Top-of-The-Line Cruiser
Contents
The Suzuki M109R B.O.S.S. is the definition of the power cruiser segment. If burnouts and drag racing are some of your favourite hobbies, than this bike is probably right for you. Suzuki says that steady torque all the way to redline is one of the biggest priorities that went into engineering this monster – and they seem to have succeeded. The Japanese-manufactured M109R hasn’t received any updates for the 2023 model year, but it is still packed with features that make this an insane ride.
The M109R is the largest motorcycle among Suzuki’s 2023 lineup by a long shot, coming in at a huge 109ci ( 1783cc) and weighing 764 lbs (347 kg). Despite its size and weight, the bike has no trouble sending itself down the street thanks to its aluminum pistoned V-Twin, which produces a reliable 128hp and 118 lb-ft of torque. Helping turn all that power into performance is a five-speed transmission and a sturdy shaft drive. The bike’s fifth gear has a long ratio for easy highway cruising. The power finally meets the road through a set of 18-inch wheels, with a 240mm wide tire in the rear to help maintain traction and stability.
Evidently, the M109R has no trouble getting up to speed, so then what? To slow this beast down, It relies on four-piston front brake callipers and 12.2 inches (310mm) brake discs up front with a dual-piston calliper and a 10.8 inch (275mm) disc in the back.
Readers may be wondering what the B.O.S.S. suffix represents in the M109R’s name. It stands for Blacked Out Special Suzuki – formerly an optional chrome blackout package, it is now the only M109R available for purchase in the United States and Canada.
The M109R can be purchased in two striking paint options – Candy Daring Red and Metallic Triton Blue. Both options are accented with Glass Sparkle Black
The 2023 Suzuki M109R B.O.S.S. starts at $15,599 USD / $17,599 CAD.
