The 2023 Suzuki GSX-S750 Gets The Best of Both Worlds

Looking for a bike with striking supersport-derived performance, comfortable seating position for everyday riding, and gorgeous streetfighter looks? Look no further than the 2023 Suzuki GSX-S750Z! A slightly toned-down version of the wild GSX-R750 sport bike, the GSX-S version is a healthy dose of performance packaged in an everyday rider.

Like much of the Suzuki lineup of motorcycles, 2023 unfortunately, doesn’t see much in the way of updates for this bike, except for the Z model becoming standard. in previous years the GSX-S750Z package received ABS, and some visual upgrades, however, for 2023, the Z suffix has been given to the base model, and ABS can be added with the GSX-S750ZABS model. This means that ABS is still optional on the 2023 GSX-S750Z, but for an additional $500 USD, we highly recommend it. Suzuki sells the ABS model as standard in the Canadian market on a version called the GSX-S750A, while the Z name refers to some optional colour packages.

The GSX-S750 has a lot of charm to it – it receives the racing-derived technology and engineering from the GSX-R750 but is tweaked ever so slightly to make it more palatable for the non-track-focused rider – but if one so chooses to take it to a track we’d be willing to bet that this machine is more than capable. At the centre of the GSX-S750 is a 749cc inline-four engine that churns out 112.6hp and 59.7lb-ft of torque. Cradling that engine is a custom frame that combines the benefits of a tubular-style street bike frame and a twin-spar sportbike frame – giving it the best of both worlds.

The bike comes standard with KYB inverted front forks with adjustable preload. This setup provides the bike with a sporty and confident yet controllable and comfortable ride. From a visual perspective, the Japanese-designed motorcycle is pretty subtle. The GSX-S ditches the fairing of its track-focused brother for a more reserved streetfighter look, which we think is just the right amount of aggressive. The bike has a stacked halogen bulb front headlight setup and an LED taillight with LED turn signals.

The 2023 GSX-S750Z can be purchased in a couple of different colour options – depending on the model chosen. The standard bike is available in two-tone Pearl Brilliant White/Champion Yellow No. 2, while the ABS model can be bought in Metallic Oort Gray No. 3/ Glass Sparkle Black.

The Canadian GSX-S750A is only available in Metallic Mat Black No.2 unless optioned with the Z package, which offers the White/Yellow and Gray/Black combos, as well as Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black.

The 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 starts at $8,649 USD / $ 10,599 CAD.

The thin seat is shaped for sport riding, and also to helps make it easier to firmly plant your feet on the ground and combines with the handlebars and footpegs to ensure a comfortable riding position.

LIGHTWEIGHT BLACK FOOTPEGS

The GSX-S750 shares the same aluminum footpegs used on the GSX-S1000. Both lightweight and sporty, their black coloring makes them blend in naturally with the machine to create a cool look.

BELLY PAN

The addition of a standard-equipment belly pan enhances the aggressive styling and cohesive aesthetics of the machine’s overall design.

ENGINE DESIGN

Potent 749cc four-cylinder, fuel-injected engine uses GSX-R750 architecture, so the power delivery is an excellent blend of strong low end and a muscular top end. Using the K5 generation GSX-R engine architecture also permits a shorter chassis, which greatly enhances handling. This also makes the GSX-S750 ABS the only motorcycle in its class with an engine with SuperSport lineage.

CRANKCASE VENTILATION HOLES

Ventilation holes between the pistons on the upper crankcase reduce pumping loss. This contributes to increasing power output while at the same time satisfying the stringent Euro 4 emissions regulations.

LONG-NOSED FUEL INJECTORS

Long-nosed ten-hole fuel injectors introduced on each throttle body optimize fuel atomization to promote greater combustion efficiency and help limit fuel consumption.

SOUND TUNING

The GSX-S750 adopts a air box that draws air in from three optimized inlets. The resulting intake sound is music to the ears when accelerating.

FINAL GEAR RATIO OPTIMIZED FOR POSITIVE ACCELERATION

The GSX-S750 adopts a shorter final gear ratio that helps maximize acceleration, while sixth gear retains a ratio that does not compromise top speed.

GREAT POWER, GREAT EFFICIENCY

Greater power with fewer emissions – the best of both worldsThe GSX-S750 boosts the power output of its street-tuned engine over its predecessor, even while making advances that satisfy stringent emissions regulations and achieve a class-leading level of fuel efficiency.
