The 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Is A Classy Yet Capable Travel Companion
Contents
Moto Guzzi first introduced the V100 series to its class-filled lineup in 2022, and you guessed it, the bike is back for another round in 2023 – nothing seems to be changed, but given how new the bike is, we aren’t complaining. One fresh addition for this year is the introduction of the Aviazione Navale limited edition ( more on that later).
The full name of the bike is the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, which retrieves its namesake from the town that Moto Guzzi has called home since 1921 – Mandello del Lario.
Digging deep into the Italian-made V100 reveals a 1042cc V-Twin, which produces a claimed 115 hp and 77 lb-ft of torque at its peak. Weighing in at 513 lbs, the V100 may not be built for land speed records, but it’s sure to provide ample fun along the way.
It’s true that there isn’t much on the market that looks like a Guzzi, and the V100 Mandello is absolutely no exception. The bike features an adventure-inspired take on the legendary Moto Guzzi design language, complete with a handful of details in the fairings inspired by the Italian brand’s efforts at Le Mans.
For 2023 the V100 is offered in three unique packages – the standard Mandello, the premium Mandello S, and the ultra-limited edition Aviazione Navale – a bike which features a unique livery inspired by the air division of the Italian Military Marine, which Moto Guzzi’s founders were members of. The Aviazione Navale is only being produced in a 1913 bike run, a homage to the year the force was founded.
The standard Mandello model features a preload and rebound adjustable front fork setup and an adjustable monoshock in the rear. A full set of Brembo brakes are standard, and the bike is equipped with a variety of electronics, including a suite of rider aids and an electronically adjustable windshield.
Meanwhile, the upgraded S model receives a few premium features, including Ohlins semi-active suspension, heated hand grips, and a TPMS sensor system.
Additionally, the S is offered in two unique colour schemes – Verde 2121 and Grigio Avanguardia, whereas the basic model is offered in Rosso Magma and Bianco Polare
The 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello starts at $15,490 USD/$17,990 CAD

Technology
The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is the first motorcycle in the world to incorporate adaptive aerodynamics. More than 200 hours were spent in the wind tunnel finetuning this technology, which reduces air pressure on the rider by adjusting the position of the deflectors in line with the speed and selected Riding Mode. Riding comfort is further enhanced by adjusting the windshield.
