The 2023 Aprilia Tuono 660 Is Great For The Track Or The Street
Contents
The 2023 Aprilia Tuono 660 is a middleweight take on the legendary full-size Tuono V4. The 660 variation has been around for a couple of years and has been a hit among riders ever since, thanks to its cheaper buy-in, without losing any of the charm and features that are a staple among the Aprilia lineup.
The Tuono, much like the RS 660 and Toureg 660, makes use of a fantastic 659cc parallel-twin engine making 100 hp and just under 50 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed gearbox and a chain drive help to translate that power to the ground and catapult this 403-pound naked bike down the road.
While the Tuono often gets a bad rep as the lesser brother of the RS, this isn’t the case with the 2023 660 model, thanks to it sharing nearly all of the brilliant specs and features with its lean-over twin.
The Italian-built Tuono ( Whose name is Italian for Thunder) features a preload and extension adjustable front and rear suspension setup. Brembo Brakes with ABS are standard on the Tuono, as are a full suite of other safety and performance features. The bike comes equipped with Aprilia’s state-of-the-art APRC system, which helps riders make the most of their bike through traction control, engine braking control, wheelie control, and various riding maps, among plenty of other features.
As is common among the Aprilia brand, the Tuono receives a slightly more expensive “factory” model, which comes equipped with a variety of premium performance goodies, such as upgraded suspension and a more advanced version of the APRC system. The factory model is also a touch lighter thanks to a lightweight battery.
The 2023 Aprilia Tuono 660 starts at $10,699 USD/ $12,995 CAD

2023 Aprilia Tuono 660 / 660 Factory Features
A powerful statement on the road
The engine boasts even more drive during acceleration, thanks to the use of a shorter final drive, with a 16-tooth pinion gear, one less than Tuono 660.
Light on weight, heavy on performance
The Tuono 660 Factory version benefits from an improved weight-to-power ratio, the result of a new lightweight lithium battery that contributes to reducing the overall weight by roughly 2 kg, taking the kerb weight down to 181 kg. Add this to fully adjustable front and rear suspension and you have an extraordinarily efficient bike that is hard to resist.
A bolder, badder Tuono
The Tuono 660 Factory is true to its name with a built-in fairing, the secret of Aprilia Nakeds, and one which delivers outstanding protection and a more reactive, dynamic ride. Adding additional sporty punch are the Factory Dark graphics and single-seat tail fairing in black and red that, together with the passenger seat and foot pegs, is supplied as standard.
