The 2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a bit of an oddball among the Aprilia lineup, however, the Italy-based bike builder has executed this Adventure bike with mastery. The Tuareg is the only non-street-oriented bike among Aprilia’s ranks at the moment, and honestly, we can’t get enough of it.
The Tuareg is one of three bikes currently using the 659cc parallel twin powerplant, along with the RS 660 and the Tuono 660. In the Tuareg, the engine has been adjusted slightly to be more adventure friendly, and as such, it makes a bit less horsepower and a touch more torque – 71hp and 51lb-ft compared to the 100 and 49.4 that is made in the other two models. The power curve has been tweaked to prioritize low and mid-range as well.
Suspension is courtesy of Kayaba fully adjustable front forks and a Kayaba rear shock, also fully adjustable. In terms of braking power, A Brembo setup can be found at the centre of the wire-spoked wheels, which are wrapped in a set of off-road ready tires – 21 inches in the front with an 18 in the rear.
ABS, Traction Control and Engine Braking Control are all standard, courtesy of the APRC ( Aprilia Performance Ride Control) Additionally, the bike comes equipped with four unique riding modes to suit any rider’s needs.
Three unique colourways are available on the 2023 Tuareg – Indaco Tagelmust (Blue), Acid Gold, and Martian Red. Each choice looks absolutely brilliant on the Tuareg’s rugged body.
