2023 Aprilia RSV4 / RSV4 Factory [Specs, Features, Photos]

 2023 Aprilia RSV4 / RSV4 Factory

The 2023 Aprilia RSV4 May Very Well Be The Definitive Superbike

2023 brings another rendition of Aprilia’s legendary RSV4 superbike, and while there doesn’t appear to be much new with the bike this year, we’re still gobsmacked at how well this Italian sport bike holds up.

Aprilia has been using the V4 engine platform for a while now, and we really aren’t complaining that the 1100cc powerhouse hasn’t received an overhaul just yet. Producing a marketed 217 hp and 92.2 lb-ft of torque, we can imagine that this thing lives up to Aprilia’s slogan – “Be A Racer”.

As is standard with Aprilia, the V4 can be optioned in either the standard model or the Factory model, which outfits the already impressive bike with a handful of race-ready goodies, such as forged wheels, semi-adaptive suspension, and uprated Brembos.

Aprilia’s entire lineup receives some racing tech from the brand’s MotoGP racing efforts, but this is especially apparent with the RSV4 – Aprilia’s top model, thanks to the bike’s aggressive, checkered flag-ready styling, which matches its performance. The bike is unmistakably an Aprilia, thanks to that legendary headlight design, but some key tweaks, like front-mounted winglets and a series of optional liveries, truly set it off.

Aprilia hasn’t spared many expenses when it comes to features on the RSV4, the bike comes equipped with the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system, which includes a half dozen riding modes, various engine maps, and a plethora of riding controls, like wheelie control and traction control.

The 2023 Aprilia RSV4 starts at $18,999 USD/ $21,095 CAD

 2023 Aprilia RSV4 / RSV4 Factory

 2023 Aprilia RSV4 / RSV4 Factory Features

MotoGP aerodynamics

Instead of being exposed appendages on the sides of the bike, the winglets are now integrated into the double fairing. Analysed using software and in the wind tunnel, their efficiency has been rigorously tested on the road and track by Aprilia Racing’s aerodynamic engineers. The result is a bike that delivers even greater stability, aerodynamics and performance than ever before.

An engine to set your heart racing

The latest RSV4 and RSV4 Factory models are all powered by the same 1100 cc, the first mass-produced high-performance narrow V 4-cylinder in the world. Lightweight and compact like no other, it delivers torque of up to 125Nm at 10500 rpm. Horsepower remains at an impressive 217, already hard to beat, but it now meets Euro 5 criteria and breaks the 305 km/h barrier at top speed.

Designed for comfort

Improved ergonomics come in the form of a new fuel tank, and through lowering both the seat and foot pedal-footrest by 9 mm, creating a more natural, relaxed riding position, even for taller riders.
Also new is the Magneti Marelli ECU 11MP control system for improved management of the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension and a riding experience like never before.

Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory

The RSV4 is also available in a Factory option. Common to both is the revamped V4 1099cc engine, but the Factory version sports standard elements such as forged aluminium wheel rims, an Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system and Brembo Stylema brake callipers.

RSV4 FACTORY

Speed White Limited Edition
Dominated by a white that enhances the aerodynamic lines and its design with built-in winglets, the Speed White livery is combined with red wheel rims and adorned with the Aprilia inscription on the side and sport graphics inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP prototype playing a leading role in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship
