The 2022 Zero FXE Is a Compact, Agile, and Fun Electric Supermoto
Contents
The Zero FXE is the latest addition to the 2022 Zero Motorcycle lineup. The supermoto-styled electric motorcycle is based on the Zero FXS and is an agile, lightweight machine most comfortable in the urban jungle.
Equipped with the American company’s ZF7.2 (7.2 kWh total capacity) battery pack, the Zero FXE will take you as far as 100 miles in the city. Get on the highway at a steady 70mph cruise, and that number drops to a humble 40 miles. A full charge with the standard charger takes nearly 10 hours — 9.7 hours, to be precise — so it’s a good idea to spend the extra money on the accessory chargers that bring the time down considerably to 1.8 hours.
The FXE is equipped with the Z-Force 75-5 motor that also powered multiple other models in the Zero Motorcycle portfolio. The motor, producing 46hp and 78 lb-ft of torque, can propel the bike to a top speed of 85mph.
As it typically does, Zero has equipped the FXE with some pretty neat hardware — grippy Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires, fully adjustable Showa suspension, and Bosch Gen 9 ABS that works alongside braking hardware from J.Juan.
The 2022 Zero FXE starts at $12,195 USD / $15,695 CAD.
