The 2022 DR650S Is Suzuki’s Top of the Line Dual Sport Model
Contents
The Suzuki DR650S sits at the top of their dual-sport portfolio, above the DR-400S in the 2022 Suzuki line-up. Despite not receiving significant updates this year, it remains one of our top recommendations for a bike that’s just as happy in the dirt as it is on tarmac.
The DR650S is powered by a 644 cc, air and oil-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, which produces around 43hp and 47 lb-ft of torque. This engine sits inside a robust, steel semi-double cradle frame. The DR650S features impressive hardware, including a unique height-adjustable front fork that offers preload and compression damping. Suspension travel at either end is a generous 260mm.
Other notable bits include aluminum footpegs, rims, and stainless steel wheel spokes.
The DR650S may not be the most powerful motorcycle in its class, and some rivals from the other big Japanese names also feature more modern tech and features. However, the Suzuki is competitively priced, superbly reliable, and will give you little reason to complain.
The 2022 Suzuki DR650S starts at $6,849 USD / $6,899 CAD.
