2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350: Truly Classic
Contents
If anyone can manufacture ‘classic’ looking motorcycles, it’s the time lords over at Royal Enfield who have been reveling in their own classic creations for the last 120+ years. The British motorcycle manufacturer refuses to age, and their motorcycles refuse to reflect modern styling trends. They stay true to their core; and there is no motorcycle truer to their 120-year heritage than the 2022 Classic 350.
Although – for now – it exists in its brothers’ (Meteor 350) recent sales shadow, the Classic 350 has a special place in RE’s 2022 lineup thanks to its purist styling cues that come at a comfortable entry price. RE has brought back their all-time best-selling model – the Classic 350 – marrying timeless styling birthed from a forgotten era and new technology to keep it up with current times.
The Classic 350 comes ready with a counterbalanced air & oil-cooled 349cc mill borrowed from the Meteor 350. This engine has undergone no changes from the Meteor heart transplant meaning it also produces the same 20.1 horsepower and 19 lb-ft of torque translated through its wet multi-plate clutch and five-speed gearbox.
The gauge cluster remains handsome with RE’s new Tripper Navigation system being brought into the mix, and ABS along with LED lighting help bump up this bike’s paper spec sheet to keep up with the times.
For a blast to the past in the form of an entry-priced classic low-displacement machine, the Classic 350 is all you could ever need.
