The 2022 KTM Enduro R Brings Lightweight, High-Performance Versatility for Challenging Terrains
Contents
The 2022 KTM 690 Enduro R it’s in its habitat when the trail gets more extreme. Its lightweight chassis, aggressive styling, and reliable 690 LC4 engine also benefit from state-of-the-art electronics and WP XPLOR suspension also found in other 2022 KTM models like the 790 Adventure R.
Its 693cc 4-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine makes 74 horsepower and 54 lb.-ft. It combines powerful acceleration from idle with easy upshifting, refined feel, and low consumption. In addition, its six-speed gearbox with Quickshifter+ is smooth and enables quicker, clutchless shifts when you’re on the go. This allows the rider more control of the bike by keeping the handlebars under control and improves rear-wheel traction.
The trellis frame offers high torsional rigidity for better handling and handling. At the same time, its longitudinal flexibility allows for absorption of the energy of the impacts on the wheels, which helps the suspensions and reduces rider fatigue.
The electronics of this European trail bike is one of its most attractive points, which is not common in this displacement and with such an off-road orientation since both the traction control and the ABS are lean-angle sensitive.
The suspensions comprise WP Xplor fork with 48 mm bars with springs on both sides but with separate regulation functions. The WP Xplor rear shock is also fully adjustable – including high and low-speed compression – and is linked to the swingarm by a linkage system.
